To Bling or Not to Bling

It seems lately that I've been making more and more Christmas projects and I just can't seem to stop!  I love Christmas and love sharing lots of fun goodies and gifts with others.

Well, in my monthly subscription to Stampin' Success (SU's magazine for demonstrators - love it!), they showcased using the Stocking die and how easy it is to take a simple project, make a few changes and presto - you've just "blinged up" your project!

So, my question to you is...."To Bling or Not to Bling"?

Sometimes we want just a quick and simple project - we want cute without a lot of fuss.  And that's just what this first stocking is:

If I'm making a bunch of bags and don't have a lot of time, this first stocking & bag is the way to go!  It's adorable the way it is and I know my friends would love receiving it.

But, if I had the time (and since I'm beginning this project in September, I should have plenty of time) I'd step it up a notch and add the WOW factor - aka the "Bling":

There's no better way to make a Christmas project more festive than with glitter!  Not the messy kind of glitter but the new Glimmer Paper in gold/champagne (127885) and red (121790)- it's fabulous!

For the piece under the button, I used the new 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch (127811).

For the red dots, I used the Red Glimmer Paper and punched 1/2" circles (1/2" circle punch - 119869).

What do you think??
To Bling or Not to Bling??

  1. When it's as easy as punching some glitter paper, it's a no brainer to me - BLING IT, BABY!
