Stampin' Up! Easter (and butterfly) Card Ideas

Easter (and butterflies) seemed to be the overriding theme this past month at our monthly demonstrator meeting.  Each month our demonstrator group gets together to share ideas, swap cards and keep each other posted on all things stamping related.

The highlight of these meetings for me is the swap time!  We'll each bring a certain number of cards to swap with one another and we all go home with tons of card ideas and designs.

This group created an amazing selection of Easter cards and I just couldn't wait to share them with you!

This first card was created by Cindy!  Is that the cutest little Easter egg or what?  Cindy always has the most clever ideas!

Open the egg and reveal the message inside!  She created this adorable card using the Ovals Collection of Framelits and the sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes stamp set.

The Easter card below with the adorable butterflies was created by Bonnie.  She used the Elegant Butterfly punch - it's so quick and easy to use!  Butterflies are very hot right now, too.  I think you'll see more and more cards that have this butterfly on it!

I am really loving the gray/black/yellow color combination on Judi's card!  And, guess what?  There's that Elegant Butterfly punch again!  The Easter Blessings stamp is a single stamp and it's a great value at just $8.95.

How about one more Easter card with the Elegant Butterfly punch?  Marilyn even used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set with the NEW Bitty Butterfly punch for the smaller butterflies.  (I should have named this post the Elegant Butterfly punch cards!)  Marilyn's card also uses this punch along with the Sycamore Street Designer Paper.

Aren't these adorable Easter (and butterfly) cards?  I don't know about you but I'm off to my craft room now to find my butterfly punches!  I have been inspired!

I'd love to hear your feedback and comments about your Easter cards.  Do you have a design already in mind?  Will it include butterflies?

Happy Stamping!

  1. The Easter egg is a very creative design for a card! My fave butterfly card is the yellow, gray and black. There is something about the yellow/gray color combo that I really love!

    1. Thanks so much for your comment on my blog about the Egg card. This card was made by my friend, Cindy, and she didn't really give me any instructions on how to make it other than verbally told us.

I know she cut out 4 large ovals using the Ovals Collection of Framelits and then she adhered them together but only put adhesive along the outer edges. Then she cut another smaller oval for the inside. Since the adhesive was along the edge, the smaller oval fit right in. She then cut out other designer papers to adhere to the outside of the "egg".

I hope that helps some! Please let me know if there's anything else you need or have any other questions. (I tried sending an email but for some reason it wouldn't go through.)
