Ink Pads, Markers and Re-Inkers Organization

Recently, I purchased an organization system for my Stampin' Up! ink pads, markers and re-inkers and I couldn't be more excited with the results!

First, let me share with you what it used to look like and then we'll get to the good stuff (the good type A organization stuff that I love!).

Here's my messy desk with the Stampin' Up! Color Caddy. This Caddy has served me very well for many years!  But as you can see, things were just a bit jumbled on top (I realized I should have been storing my re-inkers up there.  Oh well!)

Next are my bin of markers.  Notice all the markers laying to the side of the box as there isn't enough space for all my markers.  Again, this box has served me well for many years but I was tired of having everything lying on my desk (and adding to my already messy desk).

Finally is my extra drawer that held my In Color ink pads as well as more markers (good grief I have a lot of markers!) and re-inkers.

And, now.... for the organization solution!!  Yippee!  I found this amazing holder at Stamp-n-Storage.  So, when it arrived, my daughter and I began organizing!

Here's an up close picture of the storage unit with everything in it.  The storage unit comes completely assembled and ready to go!

Here's a picture of the entire unit.

So, if you're looking for a good way to store everything all in one place, you may want to give this storage unit a try!  Now go get organized!

Kids Card Making Service Project

Kids can create cards and make a difference too!  This past Sunday evening the youth from several area churches were excited and ready to create cards for the kids at Cook Children's Hospital.  With just a few instructions and lots of paper & various supplies, the creativity was unleashed!

They stamped, punched, colored and created over 40 cards in just around 45 minutes.  What an amazing service project for kids.  They had a great time and the messages they wrote to the kids at Cooks were so uplifting and encouraging.  This was card crafting at it's best!  Kids creating cards and making a difference in the lives of other kids.  Way to go youth group!

Do you have an organization or group that you would like to make cards for?  Gather a group of friends together for a card making service project!  I'll bring the supplies and let's get crafting for a cause!

There are so many excellent non-profit groups that are in need of cards - Meals on Wheels, Ronald McDonald House, Cook Children's Hospital, Operation Write Home - just to name a few.

Contact me today (beckc.rm@gmail.com) and let's set a date to make a difference in the lives of others!  Kids and adults, alike, can create cards to make a difference!

Card Stock Storage

Organization always seems to be a challenge for me - I like things to be organized and in their place, but how do I end up with piles of stuff everywhere??

When I'm stamping, I know that I get into the creativity of everything and before I know it, I've got stamps, inks and papers piled everywhere!  Then, I'm usually too tired to clean up the mess and so it sits until the next time I want to stamp.  Then I have to clean up before starting another project!  Does anyone else have this problem??

Well, one thing I do have organized and it seems to be working really well is my paper storage system.  The plastic bin has hanging files and I have created one file per color.  You'll notice that some files have folders in them - this is where I keep my scraps of that color (yes, I file the scraps back into their color folder).

Now, keep in mind that when I'm in a hurry creating, guess what I do?  I end up stacking the scraps in a pile on the files!  I guess as long as it gets filed sooner or later, what's it gonna hurt?

Happy stamping and creating!
