Stampin' 101: Paper and Trimmer

Paper is the essential of all essentials when you stamp- because without it, what do you stamp or create on?

One of my favorite parts about Stampin' Up! is looking through all of the different kinds of paper. It seems kinda silly- but one you start stamping and seeing all of these cool ideas- you will be dreaming of paper just like me!

But a lot of choices can also lead to confusion about what to get. So here are some helpful tips:
- Go for the Getting Started Collection of Cardstock- Item number: 120954 (pictured above) because it gives you the basics (like Black and White) but also gives you colors from each Color Collection ( like bright, subtle, regal, etc.) so that you can see what colors you tend to use more.
-If you already know that you are drawn to a specific collection- just go for it. You will use the colors you like, so buy what you love!
- When it comes to Patterned Paper, It really does come down to personal preference. But- keep in mind that Stampin' Up! includes a list of the coordinating colors in each set of Patterned Paper. It's easy to select individual packages of card stock that match the patterned paper.

Paper Cutter
I don't know about you, but I cannot cut a straight line to save my life. Luckily, I don't have to since I have the Table Top Paper Cutter- Item number: 106959 ( the paper Trimmer). This is a must for cutting lots of card stock for cards, scrapbook pages, little gifts, tags and much more!  It's a nice big cutter too that can easily handle 12X12 paper.

Those of you who already stamp:  What is your favorite Stampin' Up! color and/or collection of colors?

Happy stamping and creating!
