Stampin' Up! has created a video to give you an overview of the amazing NEW products that are included in the Color Theory Suite. Keep in mind that this Thursday, June 1st, 2017 you can begin ordering these products and all the other new products in the new catalog!
So, what's your favorite product from this suite? I think, for me, the sentiment Just Breathe in the Colorful Season has to be my favorite. I need to remember that on a daily basis!
And, here's one more sample (along with the instruction sheet here) that features the Colorful Seasons stamp set.
How adorable is that? Don't you just love the bright colors? The instruction sheet includes the "how to" so you can recreate this adorable background and card. Enjoy!

Extra Spider Web Doilies on Hand?
This past Halloween, I went crazy using the adorable Spider Web Doilies from the Holiday Catalog. They are just so stinkin' cute! (Check out the Halloween ideas from this post.)
Well, now that Halloween is over, I do have a couple packages left and wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with them. That is until I saw this video from Stampin' Up! with some alternate uses for this fun product!
Just take a look at all the cuteness!
Aren't those great ideas? No need to stash the Spider Web Doilies away in a drawer until next year! Get them out and play with them in an entirely different way!

Flower Patch and Gold Soiree Scalloped Tag Topper Card
Every month I gather with my fellow demonstrators for an evening of stamping, creating and sharing! Did you know that even if you're not a demonstrator in my group, you can attend as my guest? If you'd like a fun night of stamping and getting the 'inside scoop' on all that's going on in the Stampin' Up! world, I'd love for you to attend with me! (We gather on the second Friday evening of each month in Ft. Worth. See the complete list of monthly events online and RSVP for what you'd like to attend.)
Our group is called the Cowtown Crafters! (Since Ft. Worth is known as Cowtown, we thought that name is rather fitting for us!) Read more about the perks and benefits of being a Cowtown Crafters and contact me if you have any questions or would like more information.
Well, during our gathering last month, my friend Mary created this pretty card and I had forgotten to share it with you all until now. And, the best part - I've got a video on how to create this card for you! See it below.
Tips, Tricks and Reminders:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders:
- Bundles! Throughout the Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog, you will notice that certain stamp sets coordinate with either a punch or a Framelit set. That means no "fussy cutting"! The punch or Framelit set does the cutting for you! Some of these amazing products are "bundled" together and when you use the bundled item number, you'll save 15% (over buying them separately). That means savings for you!
The flower and leaves in Mary's card are from a stamp set called Flower Patch and it is bundled with the Flower Fair Framelit Dies (bundled item # 136788; $43.25). This set is made from Photopolymer (see the video below) and it contains 19 images!

Quick Cards using the Oh Hello Stamp Set
This past weekend I was in desperate need of some thank you cards. Of course I thought I had plenty on hand, but when I went to check my stash, I was completely out! Well, I also didn't have a lot of time to create something fancy with a lot of bling, so here's what I came up with:
This card went so quickly and I ended up making about 20 of them in one sitting! How did I do it? I had an assembly line going:
- First, I cut my card base to 8.5" X 5.5".
- I then began to stamp on white card stock - 20 oval shapes from Oh Hello stamp set stamped in Pool Party and then 20 banners from the Hearts a Flutter stamp set stamped in Soft Suede
- I ran this paper through my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and cut both shapes out at the same time: the oval shape using the Ovals Collection of Framelits and the banner shape from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits
- I then tied a knot in the ribbon, cut it off the spool and then tied another until I had 20 done.
- The last part of the assembly line was to just adhere everything together. I used Stampin' Dimensionals behind the images and a glue dot under the ribbon.
- That's it!
I even had time to create a video tutorial for this card:

How to Water Color Images for Cards
Have you done any water coloring on a card before? It's been awhile for me but on this past Friday's blog post I gave several suggestions on how to water color. Now, I'm no expert by any means when it comes to water coloring but I can tell you that if I can do it, so can you! It just takes some time to sit down and play!
That's exactly what I did this weekend. I brushed off my blender pens, aqua painters and paint brushes and decided it was time to water color again!
There are several great stamp sets in the Spring catalog that work well for water coloring. These are called line art stamp sets because it's just that - the outline of the image. It's up to you to add the color. Here's what I came up with using the Secret Garden stamp set from the Spring Catalog. What do you think?
I thought it turned out pretty well for not having water colored in awhile.

I think I also chose this stamp set because it has the matching Framelits (I'm a sucker for stamp sets that have coordinating Framelits dies - so easy to cut out!).

Christmas Pocket Album Tutorials
They're finally finished!! I've created a 2 part tutorial for you all on how to create this fun Christmas Pocket Album. Creating the video wasn't hard (although it did take some time) - the hardest part was getting the videos uploaded! My wifi kept messing up and finally after many attempts at uploading it myself, I finally had to ask the expert - my husband! (He's a computer geek! And I'm SO glad he is!) When he works on a computer or phone, things just magically seem to work.
So, finally, the tutorials are ready for you to see! Enjoy!
Part 1 - Gathering supplies and cutting all the pieces
Part 2 - Putting it all together

November Class Cards
I just love Christmas and making Christmas cards! This month for my monthly stamp classes, we will be creating two fun projects.
Wanna join the fun? View my online calendar for the days and times that I will be teaching this class. The cost for the two projects is $5 or FREE with any purchase of $20 or more. (I teach classes in Ft. Worth and Azle.)
Class Project #1
This first project is a Cocoa pouch with candy cane. Isn't it just the cutest? I made a similar version of the treat pouch for the Stocking Stuffer class and you can view it here. Watch the video tutorial of this project and be inspired!
With this treat pouch we will be using the Scentsational Season stamp set (one of my favorites from the Holiday catalog!).

I love the look of this card! My friend, Marilyn, created this card and I just had to share with everyone! This card uses the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and the tree in the middle is embossed with gold embossing powder. Love the elegant look of this card.

Christmas Gift Giving
Want to make the holidays really special? Then plan to make your
gifts this year! Making gifts allows you to give unique and personal gifts with
a handmade touch. And
it’s never more true than when the gift is homemade. Why? Because you can make
it special, just for the recipient. And while you are making it, guess what
you’re doing? Thinking about the person that you are making it for!
Each year my family and I draw names to see who we will buy a gift for. One year in particular I remember, we decided to draw names but instead of buying a gift, we were challenged to make a gift! My sister-in-law drew my name and made the cutest little "lamp" from a wine glass and scrapbook paper. So creative!
Need some
ideas of what you could make? Try some of these:
- a
box of handstamped cards (you can never go wrong with cards! check out the ones we'll be making this month below)
- a
scrapbook ready for pictures
- a
finished scrapbook (great for grandparents!)
- journals
& notebooks
- personalized
stationery
- customized
office supplies (folders, paper clips, notepads, etc.)
- a
calendar
- a stamped
scarf
- decorated
photo frame (with or without a handstamped insert)
- an
ornament
- a
wreath
... and so much more!
This Post-it-Note holder makes a great Christmas gift! Watch the tutorial and make some fun gifts for Christmas!
So grab a cup of cocoa, put on some seasonal music, and create your own handcrafted holidays!

Candy Wrapper
For today's project, let's create an adorable candy wrapper! The inspiration came from a swap I received at Stampin' Up! convention this past July. (There wasn't a name on the project but to whomever created these for convention, "Thank You!!")
When I saw this little wrapper, I just knew I had to create one (or two or three or four....)!
