Tips and Ideas for Your New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

The new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog and all the new products are available today!

As I've been looking through my own catalog, I keep "oohing" and "aahhing" over  so many new products I would love to add to my craft room!

A Few Helpful Tips With Your New Catalog:

  • Highlight all the stamps you already have in the index. This helps avoid purchasing duplicates (I've purchased my fair share of duplicate stamp sets over the years!).
  • Take your catalog to an office supply store and have it spiral bound. Makes it very handy for when you want to open the catalog flat or if you want to open it to a particular page and it doesn't take up much room.

You might even consider having them add a laminated cover or a pocket page or two.
  • Put check marks next to the accessory items that you already have (again, just to avoid duplicates).
  • Removable tags and flags help to mark pages. (I think I'm just an office supply junkie and I love to flag pages and make notes on sticky notes. Do we have any other office supply junkies out there?)
You can view the entire catalog online in PDF form or you can simply shop my Online Store to see all the new products.

I hope you enjoy the new catalog as much as I do! If you already have a demonstrator, be sure to get your copy of the new book. If not, I'm happy to mail one to you! All I ask is that you cover the flat rate postage ($5.75 in the US; payable via Paypal). Contact me today to get your copy!

Introducing the new 2014 - 2015 In Colors

With the new Annual Catalog comes 5 new amazing In Colors.  Let me introduce you to...

Lost Lagoon

  • I just had to show you an up close picture of the new coordinating ribbon!  It's 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon and it's beautiful!
  • The "Hello there" image is from a new hostess-only stamp set called "Hello There" (that will be a tough one to remember, huh?)  That set is quickly becoming one of my favorites!
  • The "swishes" in the background are from another amazing set called "Work of Art".

Mossy Meadow

Tangelo Twist

Hello Honey

and Blackberry Bliss

What do you think?  At first I wasn't sure I'd like working with these colors but I can honesty say that they look so much better in person!

I also enjoyed making these cards because they showcase all the shades of the color.  I inked and stamped the first image at the top and then just kept stamping the same image over and over until there wasn't any ink left.  Love all the varieties!

Stampin' Up! 2014 Catalog Premiere Event

What a memorable way to unveil the 2014 - 2015 Annual Catalog!  This was the first ever Catalog Premiere Party hosted in 39 theaters across the nation all being simulcast from California!  It was a night of watching stamping presentations, seeing new products and getting our hands on a copy of the new catalog!  It was a night to remember!

Our group of 12 attended the premiere event in Plano with 260 other demonstrators!  To view more pictures (plus pics of the cover of the new catalog!), check out my Facebook Page.

We all anxiously await the start of the program!

We all sat together in the second row!  I don't know about you, but I'm not very fond of sitting that close to the screen but it was very interesting to see how huge the samples were!  We could see every little detail on the projects.

Are you wondering about the cover to the catalog?  I've posted that plus more pictures on my Facebook Page.  What a memorable evening!  If events like this are something you'd like to be a part of, I'd love for you to join my team!  Being a demonstrator is tons of fun with lots of great benefits!

Catalog Ideas - Tea Shoppe Box

The Stampin' Up! catalog is not only a catalog with products but it is also an amazing idea book!  Sometimes just seeing the beautiful projects can inspire me to create something I may not have tried before!

Well, one of those projects can be found on page 56 of the annual catalog.  This little adorable box has everything you need for 'tea for two'.  What a cute way to package tea bags, sugar cubes and stirring sticks! I'm a big fan of cute little gift ideas like this (as you may already know from past blog posts).  A Christmas version of this box can also be found on page 12.  The possibilities are endless!

Stampin' Up! has done a great job creating a video tutorial for this project.

Would you like your own copy of the catalog?  Contact me today and I'll mail one to you!

Happy Stamping and creating!

Stocking Stuffer - Pouches

What can I say?  I love pouches!!

Below are three different pouches you can choose from during the Christmas Stocking Stuffers class this year.
(There are 8 different projects in all!)

The class is only $5 plus the cost of the individual
projects you choose to make.

Be sure to RSVP for the class you'd like to attend:

This first pouch was created using the Petite Pocket Bigz Die and the Big Shot.  This is such a versatile die!  You could even slide in a little note and gift card.  I also wrapped one of the Snow Festival Printed Tags around the front and added twine.  Have you seen these adorable tags?  They're only $3.95 for a set of 25!
Cost:  $2 each

This second pouch is one of my favorites! It uses just a half sheet of paper and holds a hot cocoa packet neatly inside!  Add a candy cane and your sentiment and your done!  This sentiment comes from the Wacky Wishes stamp set - it's adorable!  This set is FREE when you host your own party or place a minimum online order of $!50 or more.
Cost:  $3 each

The large Cherry Cobbler scallop circle comes from the Perfect Pennants Bigz Die (used with the Big Shot die cutting machine).  We'll also use the Big Shot to emboss the polka dots on the Gumball Green card stock.  My Big Shot is a "must have" in my craft room!

This third pouch is SO much fun to make using good ole' lunch bags!  I have folded and sewn the bag so all you do at the class is decorate!  We'll be using a variety of Designer Papers and stamps - you can make yours like mine or design it the way you'd like!

This pouch uses the Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper and the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set.  (For the month of October, purchase the Ornament Keepsakes bundle and receive the Festive Paper Piercing Pack for FREE!)
Cost:  $3 each

The ornaments are quickly and easily cut out using the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die and the Big Shot.

So, who would you like to create a cute pouch for?  Bring your Christmas list with you to the Stocking Stuffers class and  make a little something for everyone on your list!

Christmas Stocking Stuffers

This is one of my all time favorite classes for the year - Christmas Stocking Stuffers!

I guess I just love Christmas and it makes me feel good to give handmade items to everyone on my list - kids' teachers, neighbors, family and friends!

Would you like to join me in making a little something for those on your Christmas list too?  Well, this year there are 8 different projects you can choose from!  At the class, you decide which items to make and how many! (class is in West Fort Worth)

Here's how it works:

It's that easy!  You leave with gift items made and ready to go for Christmas!

Let me start by sharing with you this adorable Snowman Chocolate Bar (one of the 8 project choices).

Snowman Candy Bar
This cute little snowman (or is it a snow girl, since she's pink?) was created by wrapping white card stock around a Hershey chocolate bar.  We'll be adding a fuzzy little pink 'hat' on top (this is actually a sock!) and buttons on the bottom.  The buttons you'll be creating will be made by using the Buttons #5 Sizzlits die and the Big Shot die cutting machine.  I'll also have blue socks for the snowmen!
Cost:  $3 each

Check back each day to see up close pictures and descriptions of the other fun projects we'll be making at the Stocking Stuffers Class this year!

Happy Stamping!

Stamp & Share Event

Another perk of being a Cowtown Crafter is our quarterly Stamp & Share Events!  This is our time to share not only business ideas but project ideas as well.  We also had a fun time creating little Halloween treat boxes together.

Getting together as demonstrators keeps us motivated and excited about being demonstrators!  No one is meant to craft and stamp alone!

I love all the inspiration from these ladies!  Thank you ladies for being Cowtown Crafters!

Melody (below) made a beautiful ornament ornament and shared it with us!

Up close pictures of the ornament she made:

This is the ornament found on the front page of the
Holiday Catalog.

Cindy (below) had several amazing projects she shared!  Not only did she create the ornament from the front of the catalog, she also created lots of cute little treat boxes!

Wow!  Aren't those amazing projects!  How can you not be inspired?

It's so much fun to create and to create with friends makes it all the better!

Birthday Cards

I don't know about you but I am always in need of birthday cards!  In our family, July seems to be the busiest birthday month and just when I think I have all the cards I need, I realize I need another one!  So, I've been creating birthday cards for my personal stash as well as for an upcoming  Stamp-a-Stack event in September.  At this event, each participant will create 9 cards - 3 kids, 3 feminine and 3 masculine.

If you don't live near me and would still like to get in on the birthday cards, simply place an online order of $50 or more and I will create these 9 cards for you for FREE!  You'll receive them along with envelopes in the mail!  (I'll also include a FREE bonus card from my stash to give you a total of 10 cards!)  This offer is good through September 15th!

Kids Card (& kids at heart!)
This card is great because it can be easily changed to fit a girl or a boy - simply change the designer paper on the bottom and it has an entirely new look!  Aren't the frogs cute?  I used the Moving Forward tamp set (126322;  $14.95)  When you purchase this set, Stampin' Up! donates $3 to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

At the Birthday Stamp-a-Stack, you'll have various colors to choose from.  Below are a couple other variations.

Feminine Card
Is that not the cutest bicycle?  It's also from the Moving Forward stamp set.  I also love the color combination in this card.  It uses Real Red, Whisper White and Marina Mist.  Who would have thought that red, white and blue would make a cute birthday card!  I've always just used it for Fourth of July.

Masculine Card
The card for the guys using the Clockworks stamp set (127292;  $17.95).  I like the look of the collage behind the clock and the color combination seems to work well for a man's card.  (Midnight Muse, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla)

If you are interested in attending, there are 3 times to choose from in September so be sure to RSVP for your preferred time (space is limited to 10 people per time).

OR place an online order of $50 or more by September 15th and receive all 9 cards (plus a FREE bonus card) for FREE!

Happy stamping and creating!

Jumbo Sticky Rounds

One of the many fun things to do at convention is get to try out new product!  I hadn't used the Jumbo Sticky Rounds before and I was able to get a hands on tutorial with them.

The Sticky Rounds are great for creating adorable flower rosettes with strips of fabric or ribbon.  It's just a twist and stick approach - so easy!

Once you've finished creating the size rosette you'd like, simply cut off any excess adhesive and stick it to your project!  The possibilities are endless!  Wouldn't these look adorable on a gift bag?

The Jumbo Sticky Rounds can be found on page 31 of the Holiday Catalog (item# 127852) that will begin on August 1st!  Do you have your copy?  Contact me today to get one!
