Easter Card with Easter Message Stamp Set

I've been making Easter cards and am getting ready to send them out! I just love the elegant simplicity of this card. I was inspired when I saw this card and just had to create my own version.

Product List
This is one of 3 cards we'll be making during my monthly stamp class

Tips for creating this card:

  • On a piece of Whisper White card stock cut to 5 1/4" X 4", stamp the sun image (from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set) first in Crushed Curry ink.
  • Then, stamp the cross image (from Easter Message) in Soft Suede on top of the sun.
  • Stamp the Happy Easter image on the top.
  • Next, stamp another cross image on a scratch piece of Whisper White card stock. Use a Blender Pen to color in the cross along with just a little of the Early Espresso watercolor pencil. Then I cut it out. (You might be able to just run the Blender Pen over the stamped cross to "smear" some of the Soft Suede ink to color in the image.)
  • Adhere to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Isn't that simple? That's my kind of card!

  1. Thanks for sharing. I cased it with the "star burst" from Amazing you since I didn't have the one you used. I used crushed curry embossing powder on it. Then I colored the shroud a very light lavender since when I was using the blending pen I got a little brown on the shroud. The lavender covers it very well. Instead of a white card I used a very pale lavender. I really love it, so simple and so elegant. Great card!
