First BOGO Sale of the Year and Update on Scrapbook Expo

I'm hosting my first BOGO Sale of 2018 on Sunday, March 18th! This is a come-and-go event from 2 pm until 5 pm. Come shop all my retired products before I box them up and take them with me to the Expo! (I wanted to give my current customers first dibs on my stash!)

Here's how the BOGO Sale works: Purchase any amount from the Annual or Occasions catalog and receive the same amount (before shipping and tax) in products from my retired stash for FREE! You pick your FREE products and take them home with you!

And, for every $50 you spend, you also get to select a FREE Sale-a-Bration product! Sale-a-Bration ends March 31st so this is a great time to save!

PLUS: There will be door prizes - think stamps, paper, embellishments and more! You'll receive 1 ticket for attending and you'll receive 2 additional tickets if you RSVP for this event.

An update on the Scrapbook Expo:

My friend and upline, Sharon, and I will have a booth again at the Scrapbook Expo this year. In years past the Expo has been held at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. However, this year the location has moved to the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas. All the details about the Expo including classes, crops, shopping times and more can be found on the Scrapbook Expo's website here.

I look forward to seeing you at the BOGO Sale or at the Expo this month!

Happy Stamping,

We Survived!

The Scrapbook Expo at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevnine, Texas only comes around once a year and boy am I glad about that! I'm not sure my poor tired body could do much more!

This picture is of me the day before the show and we had just finished setting.

The highlight of my time at the Expo is meeting so many wonderful people who are all connected over their love of scrapbooking, stamping and paper crafting. I just love the excitement of it all!

We couldn't have done it without our amazing volunteers! Michelle (on the left) helped crafters to create a fun "take-n-make" decorated box. Participants stamped their pieces for their box but assembled it at home (to keep it from getting smashed in their bags).

A HUGE shout out goes to our volunteers - Michelle, Vicki and Connie! What would we have done without you ladies? I'm bummed I didn't get a picture of Connie and Vicki. I guess we were all too busy to stop and pose!

This is pretty much the way our booth looked all day Saturday! It was SO great to have so many people come to the booth! Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

It was an amazing whirlwind of stamping and crafting fun but I sure was ready to get home and put my feet up!

Thank you Scrapbook Expo Grapevine for another fun year! I think by this time next year, I'll be ready once again for another amazing event!

Happy Stamping,

Getting Read for the Scrapbook Expo 2016

There are only 3 days left until the Scrapbook Expo comes to the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas! I'm so excited! This will be our 4th year at the Expo and I can't believe it's almost here!

A lot of work goes into preparing the display boards, samples, make-n-takes and retired items! It's a family affair for sure and I couldn't do it without them!

Here are all my helpers!

These make-n-takes sure are cute! We've got 300 of them pre-cut, pre-packaged and ready to go (thanks to my dad and son!) so be sure to swing by to create this cute project!

Did I mention they're FREE for simply 'liking' my Facebook page or subscribing to my email newsletter? Easy peasy!

My mom did all the cutting and scoring for the make-n-takes.

Doesn't my daughter just look so enthusiastic helping out? Her job was to cut the papers that go into the make-n-take package.

This is only a small amount of work we did today! The next two days we'll be finishing up our displays and then getting everything loaded up. It's an event even before the event!

I hope to see you at the Expo!

Happy Stamping,

Scrapbook Expo 2015 Wrap Up

This past Friday and Saturday were a whirlwind of activity and excitement at the Scrapbook Expo in Grapevine, Texas.  For our third year, my upline, Sharon, and I had our Stampin' Up! booth and what a wonderful couple days it was!

It's a lot of work setting up, working the booth and then breaking it all down again in just 2 days time but it is one of the highlights of the year for me.  If I had to pick my favorite part of this event, it would have to be making new friends!  I loved talking with people, sharing ideas, and stamping a quick make-n-take project together. What could be better than hundreds of your closest friends all paper crafting together?

This year, our make-n-take project was a cute little Ghiradelli chocolate holder.  Who wouldn't love getting a little treat like this?

We had lots of people stop by the booth and make this cute project.  (We had prepared 200 projects and actually ran out on the afternoon of the second day.)

I figured the only way I was going to get in a picture was to take a selfie.  Thank you Dannie and Joanne for swinging by!

We had samples and display boards galore.

We also had retired products for sale.

I want to say a HUGE "Thank you!" to everyone who stopped by the booth.  Whether you made a purchase, created the make-n-take or just got some new ideas, I appreciate you taking the time to stop and chat!

Sharon and I are already looking forward to the Grapevine Scrapook Expo in 2016!  See you next year!

Grapevine Scrapbook Expo Highlight

There are so many different things I want to share with you about the past couple of days at the Scrapbook Expo but where do I even begin?  It would take me typing from now until next week (and this post is long enough!) to pack in all the details of unloading my little van (amongst all the semi-trucks!) at the Gaylord loading docks to meeting amazing crafters, re-connecting with friends, meeting new ones and then packing it all back up again in my van.

It was a whirlwind couple of days and I'm exhausted.  I even lost my voice (does that tell you how much talking I was doing?) but I would do it all over again in a minute because it was just - amazing!

There is one story in particular that I just have to share!  (Right now I really should be napping and trying to recuperate a little but I'm just so excited about this!)  On the first day of the show, one of the people I met was a man named Richard.

He had come by our booth and stopped in to look at some of our samples.  We got to talking and I asked him my usual set of questions like, "Are you familiar with Stampin' Up!?", "Do you have the current catalogs?", etc.  While we were talking, I couldn't shake the feeling that he seemed so familiar.  Like maybe our paths have crossed before but for the life of me, I couldn't remember.  So, the rest of our day continued with a flurry of more people coming and going and I didn't think much more about it.

Now day 2:  Richard comes back by the booth and says he'd like to place an order.  "That's great!", I think to myself, "A man who likes Stampin' Up!"  So, he sits down and begins to write out his order and he's flipping through the catalog and he doesn't ask me where to find any particular item, he just seems to know where everything is located and how to fill out the order form, etc.

I asked him, "How do you know so much about Stampin' Up!?".  Then Sharon chimes in and says to him, "Didn't I see you before at the Stampin' Up! Leadership event presenting on the stage?  I knew you looked familiar!".  Come to find out, Richard was not only a demonstrator (and has presented many times) he was with Stampin' Up! 13 years as a concept artist (you know the pictures of the projects you see in the catalogs??  Many of those are his designs!! I felt like I was standing among royalty!).

I couldn't believe it!  I was in shock and awe and completely lost any train of thought and fumbled for words!  Even though my voice was a cracking mess, he was the most polite, humbled person I have ever met.  It took me a couple of minutes after he left my booth to think, "I need to get my picture taken with him!".  So, off I ran with my friend, Amelia, and we snapped this picture:

He took time to share his creative journey with us and even though he's with Spellbinders now (sigh...), he is doing amazing things and I can't wait to see what he does for them!  (And he says he will always be a fan of Stampin' Up!)

I just have to say to Richard:  THANK YOU for your kindness and for your time!  I loved hearing your story and wish you all the best with your new adventure!!

Be sure and check out Richard's blog:  www.myfunstampersjourney.com/
You can also see the pic above (and many others) on his post "Last Day of Our Grapevine Showcase".

Is that an amazing way to finish the Scrapbook Expo or what?  Now, I'm off to take that much needed nap!
