Halloween, Fall and Christmas All in One Class

This month we'll be creating 3 adorable projects during my monthly stamp classes - a Halloween "Candy Corn" treat bag, a fall fun-fold card and a beautiful poinsettia Christmas card.

Halloween Candy Corn Treat Bag:
I originlly saw this cute candy corn color scheme on a bag during the Stampin' Up! convention back in July. When I saw it, I just knew I had to create it, too! And, it's easier than you think to add the color! All you need is a dauber (or sponge), ink (Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie) and a piece of scratch paper as a "mask".

  • Lay the mask down along the top edge of the paper and with the dauber, rub the Pumpkin Pie ink back and forth on the bag (make this strip about 2 inches wide).
  • Then place the guide over the Pumpkin Pie section and apply the Daffodil Delight ink the same way along the bottom section. Wipe off the excess ink from both sections using a paper towel.

Fall Fun-Fold Card:
I found this adorable card created by Chris Slogar and I just couldn't resist creating it for my class. (Thank you Chris for this adorable card!)

  • The front and back panels of this card are a standard card size (5.5" X 4 1/4"). The inside "z fold" piece measures 11" X 3.5" and it's scored on the 11" side at 2" and 6". The 2" piece adheres to the back of the front of the card. (I hope that's making sense. Please ask if you need any further help.)

Poinsettia Christmas Card:
This pretty Christmas card features the Reason for the Season stamp set from the 2015 Holiday Catalog. So elegant! I just love poinsettias and when I saw this set (with the coordinating Festive Flower Builder punch) I just knew I had to have it.

The corners of this card are also punched using the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch.

It's going to be a fun month of stamp classes! If you live in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, feel free to come! Check out all my events with more details on my online calendar.

Happy Stamping,

Treat Bag with a Bow

This adorable little treat bag with a bow looks like a little cute purse to me!  And, the fact that it's so simple to make, makes it an even more fun project (I'm all about quick and simple).  Just imagine what this would look like in the new Halloween designer paper or the Christmas paper that will be coming the Holiday catalog!  Imagine making these for the table for Thanksgiving!  The possibilities are endless!

This cute treat bag was a swap I received during our monthly demonstrator gathering and was created by Wendy.  Would you like to give this cute box a try, too!  Wendy even provided me with the instructions (Thank you Wendy!).

Instructions:
  • Cut desired paper to 6 " x  6".
  • Score on the first side at 1.5" and 4.5".
  • Score on the second side at 2 1/4" and 3 3/4".
  • Cut slits on opposite sides and fold up the bag.
  • Adhere the flaps using a strong adhesive like Tear and Tape Adhesive.

Christmas Treat Bags

I don't know what it is about the Petite Cafe Gift Bags but I just love how cute and sturdy they are.  Did you know that these little bags are lined inside?  That means you can put in food items or popcorn (yum!) and the oils won't seep through!  I love it!  And, since I had the Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit, making tags to hang on the front of the bags was a snap!

What do you think??  I'm so excited about the way they turned out!

Are you wondering what I put inside each bag?  This year I've gone out of my comfort zone and made my very own Orange Kiss lip balm and Gingerbread shaped lotion bars (in peppermint!)!  Of course it was something I saw on Pinterest that I just had to try and amazingly enough, they turned out great!

If you'd like the recipe I used for the lotion bars, you can find it here

If you'd like the recipe I used for the lip balm, you can find it here.

Supplies Used for the Bags:
However you send your treats and goodies to your friends and neighbors, Stampin' Up! has so many ways to wrap it all up for you!  Have a very blessed Christmas!

Happy stamping!
